Fire and Surf..... or firing surf ?

Alright.....  definitely meeting my newly established goal of blogging more...  Twitter's teaching me to say a lot with just a few words....  but still need to add details every now and again.

Fire:  As you all know by now So Cal is on FIRE !!  Attached below check the pick coming into Newport coming from Buy.Com (one of my business partners).  Insane smoke cloud.... don't know if it really does it justice,  but this was taken w/ my iphone @ 70mph so it is what it is....  thank god there are no Santa Ana's this time of year or OC would be covered in post nuclear ash 5 inches thick !

Stockholm Syndrome ? Really ? There is such a thing ?

So I am listening to AM1070 http://www.knx1070.com/  and they are discussing the Jaycee Lee Dugard case.  http://www.knx1070.com/Garrido-s-Arrainged-on-29-Counts-in-Abduction-and-/5095123.  Such an unbelieveable story !   Anyway,  they interview this phycologist who say she may have sufffered from Stockholm Syndrome.   Apparently there is a syndrome that they discovered in 1973 when bank robbers in Stockholm Sweden took 5 people captive for 5 days.  Well apparently after the lengthy time with the bank robbers the hostages developed this bond with their captors and in fact had sympathy for them.  Is this crazy ?

They are still investigating the Dugard case, so who knows how Jaycee Lee truly feels towards her captors who kept her in a shed for nearly 18 years and made her give birth to 2 children while in captivity.  I'll tell you one thing, if I was her Dad, ole Phillip Garrido better pray he gets locked up for life.  Unbelievable!
