Vineman Ironman Experience

So this  past August I complete my first full Ironman.   It was gnarly,  but it was fun.  It's a huge time commitment for training,  but well worth it.  It gave me a great sense of accomplishment that I want to migrate into my business and personal life.  Work at something give it 110% and see the results.  Outside of closing a deal,  sometimes in business it's hard to see immediate results.  On the personal side of things I think it's even more difficult.   One of my goals is to have a better relationship with my son and daughter,  not that it's bad,  but I just want it to be tighter.  I am for sure the disciplinarian in our family,  and I am hard on them in general with academics, atheletics and manners.  But the strategies I have to achieve those goals:

1) Listen

and

2) Praise more criticize less

These are things that I need to do overtime and don't know if I'll be able to see immediate results from.  Which is frustrating,  given anything physical that you do.   You train,  you better your times.  You prepare,  you beat the other team.  Simple.  Life as they say is more complicated!  Here are some pics from the race.  Next year's goal : 11hrs. or under.
